Interviewing is studied from the perspective of both the interviewer and the interviewee. A variety of interviewing contexts are considered including: journalism, employment, survey, counseling and performance appraisal. The emphasis of each will concern the nature of the interview as an information-gathering skill. Lectures, class exercises, discussions, tests and projects will be used to evaluate student understanding of and practice in interviewing theories and skills.
