Music at Concordia
All students — music majors and non-music majors — are welcome in all of our 19 music ensembles and are able to participate in the annual Concordia Christmas Concert, on-campus concerts and events, and experience ensemble tours to showcase your love of music.
The mission of the music department is to prepare students for creative and purposeful lives through rigorous liberal arts and professional programs, to nurture in them the fullness of individual and corporate humanity through the study and practice of music, and to challenge each to live an exceptional life.
Many students involved in the music program are not pursuing music as a major, but we provide all students with the opportunity to share their musical talents. Whether or not you choose music as a major or minor, you can still experience the rich musical culture at Concordia through challenging coursework, ensembles, researching, and composing.
