GER 330 - Introduction to German Literature and Film

Basics of textual analysis through both literature and film, in theory and practice, and an overview of major periods and genres. Main emphasis is placed on developing a critical understanding and appreciation of literary works and films through close reading or sequence analysis, classroom discussion, and written assignments. Students will also be introduced to Germany scholarship and research methods.
