An investigation into the thought of the three dominant philosophers of the ancient Greek period – Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. Plato’s Meno, Phaedo and Republic, and Aristotle’s Metaphysics and Nicomachean Ethics will be the primary focal points of the course, although the pre-Socratic and the post-Aristotelian periods will also be discussed.
