This course explores how various religious, spiritual, and ethical values and practices can promote – or impede – racial equality, social responsibility, and personal wellbeing in the face of systemic injustice and internalized dominance/oppression. The PEAK component of this course involves practicing mindfulness meditation alongside at-risk youth at Moorhead’s Juvenile Detention Center. PEAK required.
