This course will explore methods of teaching and assessing English as a second or non-native language at the secondary level. These methods will be clearly aligned with WIDA and TESOL Standards and best practices in the field for working with secondary learners, some of whom are older than average secondary students, have experienced trauma, and may have limited or interrupted formal education. This is the second methods course in the sequence and combines theory and practice. A 50-hour clinical experience is required.
