Ceramics with Ross Hilgers was one of the coolest courses I took at Concordia. I used to consider creativity a weakness of mine, but Ross changed my perspective and encouraged me to embrace new things. Through consistent practice, I was able to make things I wouldn’t have thought impossible. Most of the construction of pieces was done outside of regular class time. This meant that you were responsible for your art and how much time you wanted to delegate toward it. I really enjoyed getting to know more people as we all worked on our pieces on weeknights.
