Programs of Study

The exercise science program has been awarded initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES) including the strength and conditioning add-on. The exercise science major is offered through the nutrition, dietetics, and exercise science department of the Sanford Heimarck School of Health Professions.

Major or Minor in Exercise Science

Upon graduation, exercise science majors are qualified to sit for the certification exam for one of two accrediting organizations, the American College of Sports Medicine or the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
