Mock Trial Returns to Concordia
The program first came to Concordia in the 1980s and the college boasts a 1995 national runner-up finish among six overall national appearances.
Concordia’s mock trial team gives students with an interest in a law career the opportunity to participate in a lifelike court case and apply rules of evidence and courtroom practices to real life cases. The team competes in American Mock Trial Association-sanctioned tournaments, which simulate trials with students playing the role of prosecution and defense attorneys and witnesses. Concordia’s mock trial team is a great way for students to hone their legal skills and gain valuable public speaking experience under the guidance of an experienced prosecuting attorney/coach.
