What is your dream job after college and how do you want to make an impact?

After college, I am not exactly sure what job position I want, but I know I want to be somewhere in the healthcare field. I hope to impact others through helping them, whether that is with a leadership role, by guiding others, or assisting to the best of my abilities. I see myself working in a hospital, clinic, nursing home, or some kind of healthcare facility in the future. With my experience so far at Concordia, I have been able to see the world from a new perspective. My passion and love for helping others is constantly growing. Even though I have not fully chosen where I want to end up once my time at Concordia is done, I have learned that no matter where it is, I will make it my new home.

What year are you here at Concordia?

I am currently a sophomore. I will be graduating in 2023.

What are you involved in on campus? What kind of work do you want to be known for?

On campus, I am a student ambassador for the Admission Office (of course!). I also am a sprinter for our track and field team, as well as a member of AIA (Athletes in Action) and SHMA (Student Healthcare Management Association). I want to be known for being a leader and working well with others.

What is your favorite Cobber tradition and why? What stories do you have to share about that tradition?

My favorite Cobber tradition would have to be the Johnny Holm Dance during Homecoming. I had so much fun last year as a freshman. It was such a great way to hang out with friends and meet others, as well as celebrate Homecoming week at Concordia.

Tell us your favorite stop on tour and why it's your favorite. Why do you connect with the space?

My favorite stop on tour would have to be the library. The library is where I always go to do my homework and to study. I love that it has a variety of floors that serve different purposes and offer different atmospheres.

Words of wisdom for prospective students?

Even though the college search might seem tough and scary at times, just know that in the end you will find the place that becomes your new home.

Why did you choose Concordia? Was there a defining moment in your college search process?

I chose Concordia because it seemed to be the place I would be able to call home. My search process involved a LOT of tours and many different campus visits, which became overwhelming. When choosing Concordia, I fell in love with the community feel, along with how Concordia prepares you for the world and allows for experiences beyond the classroom.
