Background
Rebecca Moore joined the Concordia Political Science department in 1994 after completing her Ph.D. in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. Although she wrote her Ph.D. dissertation on the subject of U.S. human rights policy, much of her research since then has focused on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Prof. Moore has published numerous articles on NATO’s evolution since the end of the Cold War in addition to two books on NATO: NATO’s New Mission: Projecting Stability in a Post-Cold War World (Praeger Security International, 2007) and NATO in Search of a Mission (Georgetown University Press, 2010), which she co-edited with Gülnur Aybet. She also has a particular interest in U.S.-China relations and is currently working on several projects that focus on NATO’s evolving role in Asia.
