Though Concordia does not offer any clinical services on campus, the Health Services coordinator is available to guide students with their healthcare needs. The Fargo-Moorhead community has many high-quality providers available to our students. The Health Services coordinator can help students navigate the healthcare system by connecting them to the appropriate community resources, assisting with insurance, and helping them meet their health and wellness goals.

Health Services Office

The Health Services coordinator is available by appointment and some walk-in availability. You can reach the Health Services coordinator at 218.299.3662 or at knystuen@cord.edu. Appointments can generally be accommodated within one business day.

No. Appointments with the Health Services coordinator are free of charge.

The Health Services coordinator will discuss your individual needs and the services you are looking for, as well as your knowledge and comfort accessing care independently.

If you wish to set up a clinic appointment, the health services coordinator will help you:

  • Discuss insurance
  • Call the insurance company to find an in-network provider
  • Discuss options for care in the community
  • Choose the provider that meets your needs
  • Set up an appointment
  • Make appropriate referrals

You can discuss potential barriers to care and additional support and community resources.

Yes. The Health Services coordinator is a confidential resource on campus. No information will be disclosed to anyone else without your permission and consent. If you would like the Health Services coordinator to collaborate with another person or agency, you fill out a release of information.

The Health Services Office is a resource for many areas of your well-being. In addition to providing resources on physical and mental health, we can help you find community and campus resources related to meeting your basic needs, like food and clothing, to stay healthy and successful.

We want to make sure transportation is not a barrier to you getting the healthcare you need. If you're in a situation where you don't have transportation to your appointment, contact the Health Services coordinator and we'll assist you with the resources you can use to get to and from your appointment.

If you do not have insurance, our Health Services coordinator will talk through your options and assist with applying for insurance if desired. Referrals can also be made to clinics that serve the uninsured and underinsured. Even with insurance, healthcare can be expensive and there are community programs that can be accessed if you can’t afford your medical care.

The Health Services Office does not store or dispense medications but will help you with the community resources you can use if you require assistance with medication.

Basic health supplies such as over-the-counter medication and bandages are available for purchase on campus at the Korn Krib and Cobber Bookstore. There are also several pharmacies located very close to campus. Walgreen's is the closest pharmacy and is located a few blocks away.
