Concordia Launches up2U Partnership with M State

Concordia and Minnesota State Community and Technical College announced a new partnership that will help graduates of M State complete their bachelor’s degree at Concordia.

The two colleges held a ceremonial signing agreement for the new up2U program Feb. 11.

Students must enroll in the up2U program as incoming freshmen at M State, meet academic standards, and demonstrate critical thinking and writing skills while completing an M State degree within three years. Students who successfully complete up2U requirements and transfer to Concordia will be able to earn scholarships up to $18,000 per year for their junior and senior years.

“Concordia College is offering students a unique opportunity for rich learning, cultural vibrancy and success beyond college,” says up2U Program Director Paul Carney. “M State’s up2U students now have an opportunity to attend, at minimal cost, one of the finest private colleges in the country.”

Concordia President William Craft says the Concordia community will gain new depth through these transfer students and is pleased with the opportunity to have them on campus.

“Concordia is delighted by our partnership with M State in up2U,” Craft says. “We know the good gifts and strong education of students at M State, and we look forward to helping them achieve their goals.”

The up2U program is open to students on M State campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena.
