Crowdfunding Comes to Concordia

You've heard of crowdfunding. Now meet Cobbfunding.

Inspired by sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, CobbersGive is a new way to fund specific campus and student-led projects.

By providing a platform to seek funding for a product or service, the crowdfunding model has made small-time venture capitalists out of millions. Concordia College and Concordia Language Villages are putting this system to work, giving donors the freedom to put their money where their heart is.

When a project is funded or its time runs out, it gets replaced by a new project.

Current projects include:

  • The creation of a defiant garden operated in partnership with the city of Moorhead, Moorhead Public Service and the Plains Art Museum

  • A brick oven used to bake authentic foods at CLV’s Lac du Bois Language Village

  • New timpani drums for Concordia ensembles

  • Upgrades that would greatly expand the growing season of Concordia’s organic garden

Take a look around, tell us what you think with #cordmn and feel free to make a gift.
