NYT Columnist David Brooks Presents Keynote

The lecture is part of the 125th anniversary of Concordia. The event is free, but tickets are required.

Brooks began writing his column for the Op-Ed page of The New York Times in 2003. He is a prolific author. His most recent book, “The Road to Character,” tells the stories of 10 great lives illustrating how character is developed. He is a regular analyst on “PBS NewsHour” and NPR’s “All Things Considered.” He has been a senior editor at The Weekly Standard; a contributing editor at Newsweek and the Atlantic Monthly; worked at The Wall Street Journal; and as a police reporter for the City News Bureau, a wire service jointly owned by the Chicago Tribune and Sun Times.

A native of Canada, Brooks obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago. In 2010, Brooks became a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Tickets for the event are available beginning Jan. 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Memorial Auditorium box office, located on 12th Avenue South at 7th Street in Moorhead. No online ticketing is available.
