Hello, everyone. My name is Murun Enkhtaivan and I am a sophomore business economics major with an international affairs minor at Concordia College. I was born and raised in "the land of eternal blue sky" – Mongolia.

I like to meditate, read, and dance. I love traveling to new places and getting to know more people, which helps me become a more open-minded person. One of my biggest dreams is to help developing countries around the world and create a better living environment for the people. I am so delighted to be part of the great team and serve as an international student ambassador this academic year.

Following my passion to help people, I strive to be a reliable resource for first-year students and be there for them when needed. Apart from being a full-time student and an ambassador, I also am involved with Residence Life and the International Student Organization on campus where my passion lies too. Therefore, I usually spend my time working with both domestic and international first-year students.

Being an international ambassador comes with the responsibility to understand what international students go through. Since I came to the USA a year ago, I could see that international students are likely to encounter culture shock, homesickness, and emotional struggles during their first year. Helping them have a smoother transition to college is my passion and motivation to put my effort to an international community on campus.

After graduating from Concordia, I am planning to move to California and work there with a business consulting firm. To make myself better in this field, I want to study development economics in the U.K. after working for a few years.

Lastly, I would recommend prospective students to seek help from admission representatives and contact faculty in regard to specific questions. If you see me on campus, feel free to say hi!
