The Concordia Symphonic Band is under the direction of Beanie Stotts.
Symphonic Band
The Concordia Symphonic Band performs several concerts on campus each semester, including the PRISM Concert, Christmas Chapel, Composers Concert, and Spring Concert.
In recent years, the band has commissioned and premiered compositions by composers such as Mary Ellen Childs, Carol Barnett, and Mark Camphouse. The band’s annual Composers Concert has featured music by Concordia students and faculty, as well as music from various cultures around the world.
Membership in The Concordia Symphonic Band is open to all students regardless of major. Musicians are selected by audition at the beginning of the academic year.
This ensemble rehearses 4-4:55 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
