About the Conductor
The Concordia Band is under the direction of Peter J. Haberman.
Since its formation in 1899, the band has earned national and international recognition, including in 1935 when it was the first Concordia music ensemble to tour abroad.
In addition to frequent home concerts, the band tours nationally each year and internationally every few years. Most recently, the ensemble has traveled to Spain, China, and Norway.
Membership in the ensemble is open to all students, regardless of major. Musicians are selected by audition at the beginning of each academic year.
Under the direction of Dr. Peter J. Haberman, rehearsals are 5:10-6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
