ELL 111 - American English Language and Culture I

First course in a two-course sequence; not a prerequisite for ELL 112. Develops student proficiency in higher-level reading comprehension, writing, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar usage, while providing an introduction to the culture and social/ political Issues of the United States and of the college. Designed to meet the needs of new students for whom American English is not the primary language. ELL 111 does not count toward an English major or minor.
