HCL 316 - Healthcare Information Systems

Provides the student with a broad understanding of the use of health information technology (HIT) in the healthcare environment; an understanding of how HIT decisions are made including organizational feasibility, budgetary and regulatory constraints. Legal and ethical issues related to privacy, security, confidentiality, and informed consent are also addressed.
