PHIL 329 - Kierkegaard: Lutheran Thinker, Lutheran Critic

The Danish philosopher and theologian, Soren Kierkegaard, is both a leading Lutheran thinker, giving fresh expression to many of Luther's key ideas, and a harsh critic of Luther and Lutheranism.  This course will explore both aspects of his thought while also examining his theory of stages, pseudonymous authorship, and existential thought.
