He has a Ph.D. in strategic management from Syracuse University and is a tenured associate professor at MSUM. He specializes in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. His research examines the combined impact of state and national politics on how firms operate. He teaches Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, and International Business at both the undergraduate and MBA level.
As a practitioner, he spent most of his time in the pharmaceutical industry. He worked in the United States, Germany, and Turkey for companies including Bayer Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson.
