Concordia Scholarships
Concordia College offers a number of scholarships based on academic achievement, performing arts, and general student status.
Gold Scholarship
Sponsored by the National Alumni Board, this scholarship is Concordia's most prestigious academic award.
Eligibility is based on high school academic performance or test score. Qualified individuals (requires at least 3.9 GPA or 29 ACT) will receive an invitation to apply once admitted, along with details and deadlines. This award replaces all other Concordia scholarships and gift assistance.
Excellence Scholarships
These are automatic academic scholarships ranging in value from $8,000 to $16,000 annually ($32,000 to $64,000 over four years).
In most cases, students will be notified of awards as part of their admission notification packet. The amount is based on high school academic performance or test score(s).

Diversity Scholarship
Concordia’s $500 Diversity Scholarship is available to admitted first-year or transfer underrepresented students with financial need. This scholarship can be combined with the Excellence Scholarship.
Community Achievement Scholarship
The Community Achievement Scholarship (CAS) is open to first-generation college-bound students from ethnically and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds who live in Fargo-Moorhead or the surrounding area and have a desire to achieve a four-year degree. This scholarship covers comprehensive fees: tuition, room, and board.
STEM Discovery Scholarship
This need-based scholarship is open to underrepresented students (including, but not limited to, students of color and/or first-generation students) passionate about pursuing a STEM-related career rooted in the natural sciences. Qualifying programs: biology, chemistry, computer science, environmental and sustainability studies, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, or pre-engineering.
International Scholarships
International Student Scholarships for academic merit and family need are available. The merit scholarships alone can go as high as $16,000 per year, with additional funds awarded to help meet financial need.
Transfer Scholarships
Scholarships are available for transfer students based on academic standing and involvement.
Concordia Congregational Scholarship
Concordia will match congregational scholarships given by a student’s congregation up to $500 per year for students who have been accepted for admission to Concordia College and who will be enrolled on a full-time basis. Scholarship notification forms must be submitted no later than Aug. 15 to qualify for matching funds for the upcoming academic year.
Concordia Alumni Legacy Grant
New for Incoming Students in 2023!
This grant is valued at $500 annually ($2,000 over four years). The Concordia Alumni Legacy Grant can be awarded to students whose siblings are current students or graduates, or whose parents or grandparents are alumni of Concordia College in Moorhead.
Notification of status is due by Aug. 15.
Qualified students must officially notify the college of their legacy status.
Alumni Referral Grant
New for Incoming Students in 2023!
Are you a graduate of Concordia College who knows a student who would be a great Cobber? Refer that student and they will now receive an annual $500 alumni grant — a $2,000 value over four years! Limit one referral grant per student.
The deadline for current high school seniors has now passed (Dec. 1, 2022).
