This represents a typical first-year plan for students studying neuroscience; however, our program offers a great deal of flexibility for students who wish to continue a language in their first year, double major, study abroad in the future, etc. If students take more than one lab science course, or are involved in co-curricular activities with significant time commitment, in their first semester, we advise taking PED 111 (Wellness) in the second semester.

The Nursing department strongly recommends BIOL 121 (Cell Biology) and CHEM 142 (Survey of Organic and Biochemistry). If students take CHEM 127 (General Chemistry I), they will also need to take CHEM 128 (General Chemistry II) to have the same level preparation for NURS 375 (Pharmacology for Nursing Care).
