The social work program at Concordia is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education which means social work graduates are eligible for social work licensure, which is required for most social work jobs. Students interested in majoring in social work should request a social work faculty advisor and must make written application for acceptance into the major after completing SWK 150 (Social Work and Social Justice) with a grade of at least a B-. SWK 150 is a Core Social Science (SOCS) course so if students are not sure about the Social Work major/profession, they are still able to fulfill a Core requirement by taking the SWK 150 course.
